Albuquerque Hearing Associates was founded in late 1998 to provide hearing evaluations and services to the west side and greater Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Los Alamos area. Albuquerque Hearing Associates offers the highest quality products, state of the art testing systems and the most experienced audiology staff with programmable and digital technology.

Carol CliffordCarol Clifford:

Carol Clifford Dedicated to excellence in patient care, the founder and director of Albuquerque Hearing Associates is Carol Clifford. A nationally renowned speaker in the Hearing Industries, Carol choose to return to the rewarding practice of clinical audiology, understanding the profound results she can once again provide to patient’s with hearing loss. Carol was born and raised in Albuquerque. She received her Bachelors degree in Communicative Disorders from Colorado State University in 1983. She attended Northwestern University where she received a Masters Degree in Audiology and Hearing Impairment in 1984.

Upon graduation, Carol completed her Clinical Fellowship Year at Glen Ellyn Clinic in Glen Ellyn Illinois specializing in the evaluation and treatment of children with hearing disorders. As part of a medical team at Rush-Presbyterian Medical Center and Rush University, Carol obtained valuable knowledge that she has utilized in her future hearing care endeavors. Carol’s first audiology practice, Professional Hearing Services, in Chicago, Illinois was purchased in 1987.

For 8 years, she directed a group of audiologists in the day to day practice of hearing evaluations, fitting of hearing instruments and aural rehabilitation. Serving more than 100 physicians in the Chicago suburban area, Carol’s practice specialized in medical diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of hearing loss and balance disorders for both children and adults.

After marrying in 1993, Carol and her husband returned to Albuquerque where she served as Director of the Audiology Clinic for University Hospital at the University of New Mexico. At the same time, She and her husband established the nation’s largest audiology network for managed care groups. Always interested in research and development of new products to aid persons with hearing impairment, Carol served as Director of Professional Education and Training for ReSound Corporation from 1996 to 1998.

KennethKenneth J. Lujan:

Kenneth J. Lujan grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he graduated from Saint Pius X High School in 1999.  Ken then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where in 2003 he received a Bachelors of Science in Business administration degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  In the fall of 2004, he began a Hearing Aid Dispenser apprenticeship program for a private hearing aid practice in Las Vegas area.

Ken became licensed to dispense hearing aids in the state of Arizona in 2005.  He was responsible for the startup and operation of two satellite offices in Kingman and Bullman City, Arizona, working in alliance with a respected ENT in the Western Arizona area.  In 2006, Ken received his National Board Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences as well as his Hearing Aid Dispenser license in the state of Nevada.

From October 2006 to October 2008, Ken was responsible for management and daily operations of a private practice in Henderson, Nevada, as well as two satellite offices.  He joined Albuquerque Hearing Associates in December of 2008, excited to be back home and serve the hard of hearing of his community.

KaceeKacee Ramirez:

Kacee Ramirez, originally from CA, has lived in the Albuquerque, NM area since coming to the University of New Mexico in 1975.  She received her Bachelors degree in 1984 and after completing her clinical fellowship year at the VA in Long Beach, CA, returned to NM ad started working with a private practice hearing aid dispensing group in 1986.

She managed a satellite office in a medical professional building from 1991-1994, working with medical cases of all ages.  She completed the work for a NV licensure and working in the Las Vegas area from 2004-2006.  In 2006 she took over the care of her elderly aunt and worked with seniors relocating into assisted living/nursing homes and handling the sale of the items in their estate while doing contract work for a dispensing office in Reno, NV.

Kacee began working with Albuquerque Hearing Associates in the fall of 2008 and is enjoying the wonderful atmosphere of the office and the people.  Kacee has two boys, 27 and 19 who are the light of her life.  In September 2008 she was blessed with a beautiful, healthy granddaughter.  She truly enjoys time with her family, sports, traveling, and her little shitzu she’s has since a puppy an is now 11 years old.
